I've used Bell pay as you go for the same reason most signed up ... easy to get started ... a phone was given to me... the account was transferred and I'm mobile... at a cost ... $15 cards disappear in days ... forget this ... I'm switching to Virgin or Mobilicity ... pay by the month at the store is fine ... whatcha think

After a spell with Telus and their lousy customer service I went to Bell, figuring the service couldn't possibly be worse. Was I ever in for a shock, Bells service is non-existant, spend 10 minutes on the phone pressing one # after another and wind up back where you started. The reason for the call is they cut my phone off, I'm still trying to find out why! They say they can't access my credit card but when I checked back statements I find they have been charging me twice for the same bills. Still trying to get answers; and a refund. NEVER again with Bell

I have No service. The ONLY thing i can do with my phone is text.
I filled up a second time ( another $100)
I'm not a fan of technology just because they are NOT reliable!Another bad experience !

Yesterday i purchased fibe tv line from bell.
Bell sent over 3 technitians
these three technitiants "worked" practiaclly all day from 9:30 am to 6pm and when they were done...hours later
I realized that they had stolen THOUSANDS of dollars worth of jewellery and watches from my family (now this is not from a lack of supervision or the placement of the items. they were taken from closed droors and jewellery boxes.)
I called bell and the police where a report was taken....but not by bell
after countless calls and attempts at making reports and being yo-yo'd from one person to the other finally i got though to head office only to learn that not a single report had reached them.
Bell shows a complete disregard for the action of their employees and i am yet to see any action taken on their behalf.
All in all the ,message i am getting is...too bad so sad.
DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOME and if you choose to then be prepared to spend the day watching closely enough to smell their breath. and you might want to practice being in three places at once considering the number of thechnitians they send out.
The items which were stolen are sentimentally irreplaceable.
If i cannot get any justice then atleast i can warn other people that they CANNOT be trusted.. because if something this unforseeable happens to any of you... well...too bad, so sad.

ok so added my 50 checked balances all was good feature will renew 3 days later .....two days after renewal 0 balancw no plan activated....called in (my son called actually his phone) was told put more money on and activate plan again.....i couldnt believe that one...so i called in was told too bad could hardley get a word in edge wise and was hung up on....so i called in again ...after much hassle was given a one time courtesy credit of 30.00 dollars....bell needs not to worry about the one time courtesy as it will never need to happen again....when this credited feature runs its course its good bye to bell...never again will i buy bell services.......WARNING TO ALL RUN RUN AWAY FROM THE BELL COUNTER.......

Buy bell stock! 7/28/2012
Quick! Buy some bell stock! Cash in on a company that provides terrible customer service, overcharges it's clients, and gets away with it! Buy stock now before people start realizing how shitty they are and sell once the rest of this country figures it out! If bell can get away with overcharging you, you may as well profit from them charging other suckers like yourselves!

Ben 7/28/2012
Default for bell should be set at 1 star, not 3. The reason is obvious from reading the above. Rogers prepaid is a better bet, but go with wind or mobilicity if you can.

Edward 7/25/2012
I had a landline with Bell, with a second number going to that line as well. I bought a cell phone and wanted my landline number to be switched over to my cell. I was told that this would be no problem.
On the day that the switch was supposed to happen, there was a problem where both my cell and my landline were using that number. I contacted them, and was told that my landline was being disconnected, even though I hadn't asked for this and hadn't been told this would happen. I was also told that my second number, which I'd given to several offices as my home number, would be lost. I was told there was nothing they could do, but they apologized and told me I would be given either some sort of refund or discounts as a result.
Instead of a refund or discounts, Bell actually charged me 30 days notice for disconnecting the line. Because their office took so long to get back to me, I was charged interest on my bill. I was double charged for days on which I had both the cell and landline, even though it was impossible to have both because it was the same phone number. Rather than running up monthly interest charges I paid my bill to settle everything up. I received a bill that stated that everything was settled, and that there was in fact a credit on my bill of 2 cents. I just received a bill that has interest for a late payment.
Useless, useless, useless company.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! AND DONT BELIEVE PREPAID REVIEWS EITHER! 5/30/2012
This is a small transcript of how straighttalk treats a customer that was complaining about the poor service and unlimited internet lies from straighttalk...BTW, these are paid employees talking to a customer...(notice how they 'like' their own negative comments to boost their ratings!)http://www.facebook.com/StraightTalkWireless/posts/10150864936562569?notif_t=feed_commentJennifer Cordishly: Straight Talk
StraightTalk is garbage. Dont waste your time or money! Constant dropped calls, clicks on the line like someone is listening in, constant no network coverage messages and constant turning off your internet access with lying unlimited plan and no one in customer care speaks English. Its all junk here. Try Boost Mobile where at least they are honest, unlimited internet means that and they have customer support that can you can understand. Im sure this will be gone soon enough, hopefully I warned some people. Their service has gone to hell in the last 4-6 months. Its not worth it anymore, try any other service but this one. Dont trust my word, google reviews for this sham company and see for yourself!!!
May 24 at 11:29pm · Richard Avila Blancas: Jen this is a pre-paid company!!! Key word!!!! Pre-Paid meaning you gotta know how to use your data plan....this is not like verizon where you can use up all your data when ever you want! unlimited with pre-paid is different from what a person contract has.

May 25 at 8:12amAlso, see below the 5 star reviews from Ed and Becca that prepaidreviews leaves up knowing they are shills working for the company. They remove the real negative comments and leave up the fake positive ones. Very poor character for a supposed 'review' site. They also listed this womans home and work number and told everyone to spread it around and call her job and say she was unstable. That is disgusting for a company to do that and be allowed to get away with it. When I saw this and called straighttalk and asked to speak with a manager, the manager had the audacity to say 'sometimes we allow the release of personal information on our site' unreal. totally unreal. I also see that they at some point deleted those posts as I believe what they did to be not only unethical, immoral it was probably illegal as well so they removed it. This is how bad they treat their customers AFTER they sign up. Dont waste your time or money with straightlies. And watch, this will be removed shortly as well, as prepaidreviews is protecting straighttalk for some insane reason, probably because they get a piece of the action on the straightlies cell phones they sell at the top right...be careful whatever you read on this site now, i see they keep pulling bad reviews and leaving the fake lie 5 star ones up. Dirty prepaidcellreviews. Dont believe anything you read on this site, they are shills to sell phones it is now very obvious and they dont care about straighttalks real reviews. But you can believe this, all you get with straighttalk is unlimited lies, bs and bad treatment! Go anywhere else and dont buy anything off this crummy site either!

http://iphone-and-you.blogspot.ca/Dont buy from bell canada or bell mobility the iPhone
Dont buy your iPhone from any carrier as you will not own the device, the carrier will.
even when purchased cash they will own the device and you will simply be carrying it around for them.
Bell mobility and Bell Canada are openly misleading consumers to beleive that the phone is owned by the purchaser, not true.I think the strangle hold the carrier's have on the Canadian people needs to stop.
I've decided to petition the government on these issues. And I have stronge want to find every and all customers that are or have been screwed by the carrier's who, have been placed into financial hardships becuase of this practice.I would like for the people to stand up with me and fight the wrong doings of these corporate giants, who's sole purpose is to extort money from the common poor people.

Worst customer service ever. I signed up for a texting plan that gave me $30 in service credits. It's a promo specified on the packaging that the website recognized when I signed up. Bell kept charging me for every text I sent. The service reps, being the worst in the business, keep telling me I only had $10 to start with, and put blame on me for not checking how much money I had on my account. Why would I have to when I'm paying for unlimited texts? Dumbasses.

Josh 4/25/2012
Just to add, I only used text. No Internet or phone calls at all. They were unwilling to help.

Mike 4/24/2012
My phone says I have an unread text message, but I see no text. Shitty service provider. How is it that the oldest Canadian wireless provider is doing so poorly?

Albin 4/23/2012
I've had Bell prepaid since 2004. An emergency/travel only user, I've gotten reliable phone coverage in N. Am with a roaming option (have lent my phone to no signal Rogers customers in rural areas.) My one beef had been that the accumulation of unused payment terminated if you missed the 60 day top up date, but I've just discovered Bell has adopted a $100 yearly top up and that will stop the nuisance, save my $400 in accumulated payments, and more than cover my normal use of the phone for the next year at $8.33 per month. (I am still using the original $49 Nokia candy bar, but might spring for something more modern with my new savings.)

Bhell 4/23/2012
I started with $30. Signed up for a $15.75 unlimited talk and text plan. I have done nothing but texting and checking my balance twice. Somehow, instead of the approximate $14 I should be left with, I have less than $5 on my account. haven't made any calls or done anything else.I have been using this phone and bhell's services for a week.

Raymond 4/23/2012
This service is the worst.Nothing else you need to know. Just move along and avoid Bell.

Lauren 4/23/2012
If you need an emergency phone, go with Rogers, Telus, or some other prepaid company like PetroCanada or 7eleven. Bell's funds will run out on its own without you doing much of anything.

Jared 4/16/2012
I've dealt with all of the major (and some minor) cell players in Toronto, and without a doubt, Bell is by far the WORST of the bunch. I topped up with $30 credit just yesterday and signed up for a $15 text plan. Now I've got a message telling me that I'm out of funds. Their rates are the worst of the big 3. Their plans are the worst of the big 3. Go with Telus for prepaid, or even Rogers, but absolutely stay away from Bell.Bell is great as a stock though considering how much they gouge their clients, but at the rate they're going, I wouldn't be surprised to see everyone jump ship in a few years.

The editor's rating of 4 stars is clearly outdated. The only thing useful about this website is reading all of the other comments that say how bad these wireless companies are.

Horrible customer service! TO all prospect customers don't EVER try BELL!

Bell Sucks 4/5/2012
I initially signed up for Bell as I thought a big company would be easy to deal with. I didn't have to much problem initially other than I was paying much higher rates than I should. I signed a year contract. After about a year and a half I decided I wanted to change carriers, so I call Bell to cancel my service. It is at this time that they tell be I am still under contract and there will be a penalty of 3 months. I am like "What? I only had a year contract" they then inform me that my contract AUTO-RENEWS every year, so I am now on the hook for 3 months of service. I ask to speak to a manager, I am put on hold for 15 minutes, then the operator says that a manager isn't available, and that if I like I can get a manager to call me back within 72 hours. I tell the guy I don't want to wait and to just send me my bill, I gave up at that point. So I wait for the final bill, and nothing shows up i the mail. 3 months later I get a call from there collection department for the bill. I tell them I have been waiting for the bill and it was never sent to me. They respond coldly with some vague thing saying must have been a computer glitch or something, and they tell me they are charging me late fees on the bill I never got. All in all a total bunch of useless tools. I will NEVER deal with Bell again!

sherry 2/22/2012
bell is to rob money.I made a local call, butm showed long distance and charge $1.80 only 54second.i top up $100 only 2 calls less than 1minute, $10.95 gone.

Sure wish I would have found this review site earlier.Bought a pre-paid 2 weeks ago. Activated on line, but the site timed-out on the last step. Called Bell and was charged 30.00 for activation.. because they're site went down? Excuse me? So my phone keeps running out of minutes. Why? BM says I'm using data. I say I'm not. They credit me 10.00 on my account and I turned the phone off for one day. Check my balance and it now at 0.00 again. For a phone that has been turned off - go figure. No satisfaction, no call back, no resolution. Two weeks I've had this phone and have placed 1 call that lasted 19 seconds. Total funds added to account = 35.00 in 2 weeks, but I still have a 0.00 balance. This goes way beyond bad service and into the realm of criminal action.NEVER again.

i bought a pay as you go 3 years at the price of 50.00,i just bought 25.00 in minutes to find out they stut my service off.i call the office to see whats going on and the girl who answered said i have to pay 50.00 to turn service back on because i have not used the phone in 2 months.i think this is a ripoff scam. i asked to speak to a supervisor and the girl hung up on me.what a ripoff.they make up new rules as they go not pay as you go. i'm enraged-

Guest 2/14/2012
i will be sure to tell everyone to never buy a bell pay as you go and i will be sure to post this on every website that i can.and i won't stop there-this is illegal-they are theives

Allison 1/29/2012
I am with bells prepaid service, and it is the worst thing I have ever did. The only reason I switched from telus to bell is because I liked a phone they had that telus didn't. Totally regret it though, service becomes unhelpful, the top ups are very confusing and has ended up costing me no joke double what I should because I've been getting charged twice a month instead of one. Also, the top ups have a 30 day expiration. How slimy can you get? I'm hoping to be switched back to telus for a cheaper, more helpful and less stressful service. One good thing I have to say...I like the phone selection. That is all. And that is the only reason I gave it 2 starts instead of 1.

elliema 1/17/2012
I can't believe Bell thinks its okay to charge for customer service. Duh???? I'll be changing services.

Martin 1/4/2012
I've never been more taken advantage of, ripped off or held hostage by any company than Bell. They will never see my business again!Ordered a bell business internet line-- agreed to a contract that required me to commit to 12 months of service otherwise face an 'early cancellation penalty' --fine.After 2.5 years of no issues and on-time payments, I no longer required the service and phoned to cancel. I was informed that I am only able to cancel within 30 days of the anniversary of the contract, regardless that I have already fulfilled the 12 month commitment. In fact, that commitment is automatically renewed, unless I cancel within that 30 day window every year.I swallowed that pill and waited 6 more months; continuing to pay for internet that I didn't require just to avoid paying the exorbitant penalty. Finally the anniversary date arrived and I phoned on Jan 2 to cancel --closed! Waited until the next day (business day for all businesses) --Bell Business Services are still closed!Called on the 3rd day and at long last got through. Explained the ordeal to the rep who had the audacity to ask if I'd care to subscribe to any other Bell services (who trains these people?). I was kept on hold, with the intermittent 'we'll just be a few moments longer' for THIRTY minutes before the cancellation was processed. The final, and perhaps lowest, turn: After all this, I was informed that the cancellation would take 30 days, so I would still be charged for another months service! What a despicable way to do business. As I said, I've never felt more taken advantage of by a company in all my decades of dealing with thousands large and small businesses!Good riddance to Bell!

I just got off the phone, actually,I was disconnected by the Bell agent because he could not show nor tell me where the expiration date came from on my pre-paid account. There is infact no where where the costumer is told upfront6 about this expiry date. So I prepaid $100. last Nov,2010 and now have $66. in my account and have been told if I don't top-up I will lose the monies remaining.I will take Bell to Small claims court when they do take my money. A lawyer friend said they do not have a right to take my money and if youall did the same Bell would soon change policy. So do something...."Go to Court"!

I was very unhappy, when after buying the phone and minutes that roaming no longer exists. There was no indication on the pack that roaming was not available so after I opened the package i couldn't return it. When I called Bell they were not helpful at all. There apprears to be no customer service with Bell.

In the middle of Vancouver 8/2/2011
A lot of BELL prepaid customers are not aware that monthly customers get first dibs on towers closer to them and if they start to get congested, a prepaid customers call will be sent to a tower many, many miles away from their location, resulting in a poor signal. It happens to me frequently and my calls end with a signal fade. So I'm forced to call back again and again. This is good for BELL because they make more money this way. The first 2 minutes are 30 cents a minute, then go to 5 cents a minute. A lot of times the call is dropped before making it to the third minute.I'm wondering if this "customer discrimination" is allowed.

Guido 8/2/2011
@Steaming over Bell Bill. It is illegal to sell you a used or refurbished phone, or anything for that matter, and tell you it is new.

Guest 7/7/2011
Wish to give -$30 stars!!! cause thats what I just blew in on my phone. I buy a prepaid card for my phone to bring it up for the charges they take out on the 3rd. They don't take out anything on the 3rd, but instead take them out 5 days later. In which I can text for the whole day until the evening. So I go in to buy a crad to bring me up from 6 cents, to $15.06. And then a day later, I'm down to 36 cents. WHERE DID MY MONEY GO?!! It doesn't cost $30 to use my phone. I'm not getting charged for texts and have NOT made ANY CALLS. My money went where????

Sarah 6/21/2011
My boyfriend and I got Bell phones 2 months ago and received a 500$ bill i talked them down to 200$. We paid our bill but our service was still cut off!, then after my boyfriend spoke to a very rude cust. service rep he found out that Bell had given us the wrong account number!! so we have no clue where our 200 dollars went and they had the nerve to blame it on us!. I would not recomend Bell at all they are scam artists! and we kept getting telemarketing calls as well-we are going with Fido a way better company!. Bell doesnt care about it's customers just as long as they get their money-I would have rated this less than 1 star if i could-stay away from Bell! it'll be the best decision you'll make for cell phones!

have a prepaid samsung impact, i've had it for 3 months. im throwing out the sim card and signing up with telus tomorrow. when i activated the phone i also got the $40 unlimited text/web/nights and weekends prepaid plan. i gave them my bank info to pay for it each month. they never took any money out of my account like they were supposed to, i guess that's a good thing after all. i had a 30 credit for doing online activation [which was a total pain in the ass], and i have since burned through 2 $25 dollar cards. i don't know how i can have $20 of credit yesterday and only $7 today when i didn't even use the phone for anything in the last 48 hours. no calls, no texts, no web browsing, nothing. i'm not even going to call customer service after reading the reviews here. they can keep what they already got from me and go screw off. i should have listened to my friends but since it was prepaid and not a contract i thought it would work out. i was so wrong.

Sandra 6/2/2011
My husband and I purchased our phones from Bell in November 2010. We are on the prepaid plan. We had no problem buying $100 cards which are good for a year.

James 5/24/2011
Clearly, from the reviews above, Bell does not value their prepaid clients at all. The way they talk about the cellular market reflects that. When a rep from Bell was asked about the cellular market, noting that Wind and other newbies were signing many new clients this past quarter, Bell brushed it off saying prepaid customers were useless anyway with little revenue gained from them. And, of course, you can see this in their customer service practices. Their best CSR guys are on the smartphone retentions line, while their prepaid service centers are 80% full of people who hate their jobs.Give one of the other providers your money. Rogers and Telus offer better rates and a more stable service for prepaid.

I have a Bell Prepaid cell phone in Northern Canada. On April 16th, 2011 I had plus 9 dollars on my accounts. That evening I had -14 dollars and could not call out or even text or surf the net! My plan is unlimited internet, texting incoming & outgoing, voicemail, free evenings after 6pm & free weekends. These features are charged on a monthly basis on the 7th. I was without a working phone for three days for no reason. The balance went from -14 to -23 dollars in those days. Then on the fourth day my phone and balance were back to normal. This has happenened on numerous occasions in the 3 years I have bought bell prepaid phones. I think it is a ploy to get customers to buy more minutes then if they don't they credit it back to avoid complaints and such. If the customer buys more minutes during this time - they do NOT credit it back. I fell for this before early on. I added more minutes thinking I simply used the minutes up. They did not credit me back those stolen minutes. I remembered wondering over and over how I used up ten dollars of minutes in one day when all I did was text and use my unlimited plan - I didn't phone anyone and I had to add more minutes! I hate bell but they do not offer any other Service Cell Comapany in this town~!

Terry 5/1/2011
Dear Bell,Please stop sucking so much. Your prepaid customer service is the absolute worst in the country. I had a prepaid phone with you guys for over 5 years, but have ultimately had to switch because my balance of over $50 mysteriously disappeared and your service reps do nothing to rectify it. I have cancelled my home phone line and cellular accounts (transferred to mobilicity) and my fibe Internet (now on cable with teksavvy). I'm saving money and experiencing better customer service by leaving you. That's how effed up your company is.Do Canada a favour and disappear, or let telus take you over. They aren't great either from what I hear, but merging with ay company at this point will make your subpar service better than what it is now.Sincerely,An ex-customer and new Bell-basher

worst service of all ... was a contract cell customer ... cell phone broke , they tell me to send it back as soon as i get a replacement or i have to pay for the full price of the phone ... they send me the wrong one and i call them , they tell me to send it back which i did , finally they send me the right one and i send the broken one on time . then i get a bill for the wrong cell phone , plus the broken one which they said they never recieved .. i call once again to straighten things out and i get a customer service guy which i cannot understand nor can he understand me ... which turned very ugly real quick .. bell is just a certified scam operation .. that's my opinion thanks

Bev A 3/8/2011
Not happy. Bought son's cell phones for Christmas on $25 plan, unlimited texting, 200 call minutes/mo, no data plan. Get a "mobile browser block" because you can actually get accidental raoming charges if they inadvertently hit a button while the phone is in their pocket, or if they send a picture to a friend? Wish I had this info $400 (3 months) ago!

I spent two days trying to reach a voice with info I need.about 4or 5 years ago I got a Nokia cell for Xmas gift.I went for the prepaid option and then the topoff because I had to drive 40 miles to get a card. Then the company would only do this with a credit card so I did.Now the phone is dead, finally I get a voice and i told it I wanted to cancel the monthly payment as the phone is out.She told me i have $212.00 in credits and you are still taking payments from my Card.In fact when I finally got to make the order to cancel the next payment is due March22,today I called and it is now april22 SCAM SCAM.the credirs should have been done before taking money from my credit card account. The story now is that I cannot get my money as cash in a check, but I can get credit for the$212.00 if I go to rolling Phones shop and buy a new phone and hook up with Bell again I can get the value of credit which I would and am be very very doubtful. At this time i am going to speak to a lawyer and spell the situation out to him and see if I can get my money back,I amsure this will be possible.I also was told by the credit card company that I had to have permission from Bell before they cancelled the payments .This is definitely the worst oiece of business tht I ever encountered in my life!!!!

Rip off. Can not change my prepaid phone to regular plan.

Kenn Jackson 2/12/2011
Why is it that my sons plan cost $20 per month yet when I top it up I can only find vouchers in the denominations of $15. or $25. Bell seems to find some way of deducting money from his excess balance. Anyone else?

Glagflox 1/27/2011
Mobile phones are a wild ripoff in Canada
in general, but Bell sucks harder then the rest. I topped up 28 bux the other and it started disappearing. They charge you internet browsing just to check your balance!

Rachel 1/23/2011
I have not had a pleasant experience with this company. Some of the 1 star ratings above capture this company's business practices with 100% accuracy. Billing problems, customer service problems... any problem you can think of associated with a phone company, Bell has it. It's a wonder that they're still in business.

Gdawg 1/6/2011
Bell is OK . My plan is :20.75$-UNLIMIMTED calling from 3-7 pm
-unlimmimted data
-unlimited txting
-call display
-voicemail
-call fowardingfuns dont dissapear but to make a phone call outside my calling window is very expensive (.95 cents!) for a 3 second call . .

Josh 12/28/2010
I absolutely CANNOT recommend this company, whatsoever, for prepaid service. I activated my account on Dec 24th with $50 credit on one of their $20 plans. It included an unlimited calling window, unlimited browser, and unlimited text. I changed my plan online on the 27th assuming that the plan would be changed starting the next billing cycle, as it was with Virgin and other prepaid services that I have tried. The new plan is $10/month and $.10/minute, and I've added on the $5 texting package. However, I was dinged the $15 immediately and lost my $20 plan during a 3 day period. So now, three days and $35 later, all I have to show for it is a $15 plan. They stole $20 from my account. The customer service rep I spoke with was incompetent and could do nothing for me. This piece of sh*t company should be avoided at all costs. I used to be pro Bell for being a historical part of Canada and the telephone, but there's a reason why pissed off customers are moving from Bell to other providers. Even their subsidiary Virgin Mobile is better than their supposed top-tier brand! If you're looking for better prepaid, try Rogers or Telus instead. Their service is miles ahead of Bell. Bell may supposedly have the largest network in Canada, but their service sucks. I was thinking of joining them for their Samsung Vibrant phone, but there is no way I want to be tied down for 3 years with such a terrible company.

Simon W. 12/28/2010
The editor's rating is severely outdated. Bell now has numerous plans for its prepaid plans that could potentially confuse some. They might be okay for some, but their customer service and policies are stupidly lacking.I just called in to inquire about being overcharged and got absolutely nowhere with the rep. The rep understood what it was I was telling him, but said he could do nothing about it. I'm sure he had the capabilities to credit my account, but he refused. Terrible CSR, and it's no surprise that Bell has been falling behind other competitors in recent years.I wholeheartedly agree with all of the negative comments above. Do as the previous comments suggest and try another provider. Rogers has better rates and Telus has better service. If you don't like the big 3, try out Speakout instead, or if you don't mind paying $30/month on prepaid, join Wind or Mobilicity.

Simon W. 12/28/2010
Check the average user rating for the prepaid companies. Rogers and Telus have a measly two stars, but Bell has 1.5. That should speak craploads about this craptastic company.

Roland B 12/27/2010
The worst EVER! void at all costs! Try telus or someone else first!

Thankful buyer 12/18/2010
Thank-you so much for your input. I currently own a rogers pay as you go and was about to purchase a bell prepaid phone because they have better coverage. I will now avoid Bell.

Diane N. 12/18/2010
I would give Bell a negative star if there was one. The government should step in like they did with Gift cards and outlaw expiry dates on prepaid cards. After all, everyone, this is OUR money which we used. Talk about legalized theft. I have had Bell contract phones and had no service, and one time, my daughter had an emergency and couldn't get in touch with me. They explained that a microwave dish had been put up in our area and that I would have problems using my phone for incoming and outgoing phones. To add insult to injury, they refused to let me out of a contract that they weren't providing a service for. I then tried the prepaid cell phone and kept losing money I put out if I didn't renew in 30 days, or 60 days. I have discontinued my landline, internet and cell phone service with Bell since I do not want to support legalized theft and incompetent service from a mega beligerent company. They seem to have the government in their pockets since nothing is done to correct this tragedy that is happening to customers. I am FED UP with Bell and their continuous calls for business and most of the time I cannot understand a word they are saying. Their main customer contact office is in India. WHY NOT EMPLOY CANADIANS!!!! We have enough unemployment in Canada as it is. Protect our own!

Diane N 12/18/2010
In the above comment I asked for 1 star and they put 3. What is with that????

Ex Bell user 12/11/2010
Agreed with many who warn to stay clear of Bell Prepaid Services. I have been a loyal customer for far too long. I recently switched to prepaid and I feel betrayed. Billing is not accurate - ever! Bell is laughing all the way to the bank with my prepaid services, but I will be getting the last laugh once I use up my balance and move on to another service provider. STAY AWAY FROM BELL PREPAID UNLESS YOU PLAN ON WINNING THE LOTTERY.

Amie 12/7/2010
It appears from the vast majority of the previous reviews bell is averaging about a minus 10 star rating. I WILL NOT be choosing Bell for my daughters prepaid cell phone provider even though they have the phone I like best(Christmas present) and I'm glad I read through all of these reviews. What brought me here in the first place was a very frustrating 'chat' session with a rep when I was considering which phone and plan to go with and I had a few questions. It just seemed like the representative had NO CLUE what I was asking, no matter how many times/ways I explained it. It was like they weren't even reading what I was asking! I asked for a phone number to call and the calling hours and the answer was "Is there anything else I can assist you with today?" Sat there for several minutes and nothing. The support hours are inconvenient to say the least. All this and I'm not even a customer yet!! Bye bye Bell.

TC 12/2/2010
Bell is money hungry company...getting rich off of charging cutomer for fees......Customer Service should be free(Not a fee for it).......Check other companies..

E. Mallett 11/23/2010
From my experience today I am not impressed at all. I have a prepaid phone that I use only in the winter months. As I tried to load time on my phone today I was informed that was not possible until I pay a 50.00 re-activation fee. What happened to the pay as you go - no fees, no monthly charges, etc, etc. I will not be re-activating but going to another provider.

bill 11/7/2010
Bell prepaid service is the absolute pits. balances disappear so fast it's not funny.Customer service is also the pits. You are lucky if you can reach a rep who does not speak broken english.I switched to Rogers Prepaid,no activation fees, balances way easier to keep track of( and not disappearing),and fast and efficient customer service, ready to serve you in either official language, with no difficulties.Bell Mobility,NEVER AGAIN...clean up your act or get out of the cell phone business

Julia 10/29/2010
-10 stars. I used a $25 pre-paid card to top up before the remaining funds expire to add them to these $25 for the next month. During the next day, I neither received any calls nor called anybody but I received a message stating that my account is inactive and logged in to check my balance. My $27 ($2 remaining funds + the new top up) disappeared for no reason! I cannot reach the customer service to find out what happened. Besides, the connection has often been bad and sometimes the whole network was down, so I couldn't make even local calls when needed. Among all my experiences with cell phones in three different countries, this is the worst one!!!

I will NEVER buy anything bell again. I bought one of their prepaid phones, I called the activation number, but it was just the number to top up your account! So I called bell itself, and got transferred to another department. They said I had to activate it online, so i tried, but it wont let me! I tried again with one of their operators on the phone, but ended up getting into an argument with him about how the website wont let me activate my phone. He kept on saying that you can, all the while I was doing everything he said. This company is a clusterf**k! They need to go out of business and save hundreds of people headaches, grey hairs and empty accounts!

John in Kingston 10/25/2010
NO STARS !!! Bell is nothing more than a Quebec-controlled conspiracy that employs illeterate French employees and disciminates against the majority English. The English 75% of the realm has to speak with barely-intelligable 'service' representatives who should not be employed in English Canada. And, I am stuck with readfing the FRENCH "sent from my bell blackberry message" after each use. WAKE UP CANADA ! Ditch Bell as they discriminate against equal opportunity, and steal from the people, and all with the help of the federal Government.

Lynn 9/22/2010
i have had numerous problems with Bell ... and in all cases my frustration with Bell is not the employees (if you're lucky to reach a person on the phone as for the most part they are personable). The issue or problem with Bell is their systems/processes (or lack of). Their systems/processes are soconvoluted and not customer service friendly. Examples are:
1) reaching a live person on a phone call without being a hold for min 1 hour (who has the time?)
2) assuming you do reach a person and you have a question concerning two types of service with Bell (phone AND internet) ... as you may have handled one issue; now you have to start all over again within a different deparemtn within BellHere's an example, if Bell error in their billing, it is your responsibility to call and address the error .... be prepared to put 2-3 hours aside (time of work) and be prepared to be frustrated. Y

kim 9/20/2010
they are only getting 3 stars from me, and that is mainly because I had a VERY helpful customer service rep today when I called to see why I was -$20 on my prepaid cell phone.. She reversed it, credited me the left over and changed my plan all the while being very polite and courteous.. other than that, not much good to say about them.

Gabe 9/10/2010
The charge to activate a phone online, is now $50.00. That is much too high

Unhappy 9/7/2010
Well I first go this phone an thought it woulda been all good...But like many on here... this service sucks big time. I had added from Sept 1 or 2...and have since topped up my acct with 90 bucks... i changed my service on line... and since today they stated that I do not have enough on to change my service plans. To have a negitive balance on a pay n talk phone... it a bunch of @!!@#@! I have signed up for fun 20 that is bull shit... have to wait for call from a supervisor which suppose to come within 48@#$@% hours! Don't don't go with this stupid telephone company!!!! don't don't dont!!!!

Bullshit 9/3/2010
Legalized theft. For the love of god, please avoid bell. Forget about saving $ with the $100 prepaid voucher. It's good for 365 days but funds have been vanishing from my account. I subscribed to the $5 texting plan and made 7 minutes in calls (7*.30= $2.10). Yet my account went from $45 to $13....really? THEFT. THEFT. As with the case with any telecommunications company, avoid prepaid. Prepaid is the biggest scam.....

BELL SUCKS 9/2/2010
Bell cheats you out of your money. They have hidden fees and the rates are higher than they say. For long distance it should be $0.70, but they charge me $1.50. Their representatives are no help and they won't show you records of your calls. They say they charge you this much, but when you check your balace after the call, it's a lot more. You don't deserve a damn star at all!

Jas 8/29/2010
after reading all these reviews, i am pretty damn scared to purchase a bell prepaid phone now. although, the samsung vice at the moment is what i am interested in but all these service complaints are pretty realistic to me now .. i was thinking of getting the 250 texts/ month for 5 $ but now i'm too scared, haha. guess i'll try to find a phone with fido or telus

Judy S 8/25/2010
My daughter purchased a Samsun SPH-M321 phone for me for Mother's Day o9, which makes it 15 months old, and it will not re-charge unless I hold it. I have gone to several outlets and first question is asked is how old is the phone. Are these made only to last a year? I am on a fixed income and cannot afford another phone. This one is pay as you go and I use it for emergencies. I have been told to repair it, would cost as much as a new phone. Would like a response. Thank You.

Dorothy 8/18/2010
no stars from me for Bell :(... note to anyone whose contract with Bell is expiring and you no longer want a contract.. you must give them 30 days notice that THIER contract is expiring cause they will continue to bill you on a month to month basis :(

Joanne Ballard 8/16/2010
I wish I had visited this site before I purchased a cell phone for my daughter, I NEVER WOULD HAVE WENT WITH BELL ALIANT. Their customer service(SHOULD BE CALLED CUSTOMER NON SERVICE) I have called and happened to get a real person, hard to imagine but it only took an hour and half trying. Gave my complaint to some operator who has no authority to do anything except take the brunt of unhappy customers. Kudos to you young man you had a lot of patience but could do nothing for me but tell me I would get a call from your supervisor after I asked to speak to someone who could actually do something for me. I waited not so patiently for that call which never came, I am employed from Mon. to Fri. 8:30 am to 5:30 am and wouldnt you just know that that's their hours as well? So on one of my vacation days instead of doing whatever I wanted I was on this freaking computer looking for a customer complaint number and came on this site to vent. I want someone to call me. Bell Aliant you freaking suckkkkkkkkkkkk

Shan 8/15/2010
Well said Sheri!

Sheri 8/9/2010
I don't know what all the negative talk is about. You are using a PRE PAID phone with NO contract, you are the only one responsible for the service and the minutes on your phone. If you are having difficulties in keeping track of when YOU should be topping up your phone don't blame Bell. If YOU can't remember to do things to keep your account current, don't blame Bell. It's time that you started to take responsibility for your own actions ladies and gentlemen. I have had a pre-paid phone withe Bell for over five years and have NEVER had a problem that wasn't my own fault. Yes I have also lost minutes, but I forgot to top up my m own plan. If you are going to go to the USA and need to have roaming available during your trip YOU have to make arrangements because PRE-PAID service is just that you are pre paying for phone services. Bell has no way of knowing that you are not going to rack up a huge phone bill. I don't subscribe to TEXT messaging and therefore I don't get charged for it when someone other than BELL texts me. If you are wanting a phone to use for emergencies or to have as a "life line" when you are not at home, I HIGHLY recommend the pre-paid basic service from Bell. The minutes are not cheap now granted. In these last five years they have gone for .25 per minute to a whopping .70 per minute, but at the end of the day I don't use it as a land line phone so for me it is fine. I make a note when I need to top up again so as not to loose my service or unused minutes. Simple really, just write it on a post note on the calendar, hell any idiot can do that! I just got off the phone with a lovely ENGLISH speaking girl today who assisted me in setting up ROAMING to the USA for a holiday. She explained in detail what was expected of me and what I should expect from BELL. Not rocket science, you what your phone to work outside of Canada they can make it happen, you get back MAKE SURE YOU CALL TO ADVISE THEM! So for all the negative nellies out there, stop bitching and start taking responsibility for your own actions. Not sure what services you have CALL THEM and confirm, and guess what, NO SURPRISES!

unhappy with bell 8/1/2010
I have the same gripes(as above posters)....Bell has instant chat ....but not for us lower tier prepaids...

Tony 7/31/2010
I recently switched from Rogers to Bell by buying the SIM card ($5) and using an unlocked phone. At this time, I would say Bell is a great improvement. Let's be clear here, the rates and service are not great compared to other coutnries, but it is far, far superior to Rogers (which deserves negative stars; 0 would be too high). The coverage is pretty good, and I've been able to use it in the U.S. by activating the roaming feature.

Bell Sucks 7/30/2010
BELL SUCKS, IT'S THE WORST ONE EVER IM SOON CHANGING TO A DIFFERENT DEALER! ( I WISH THERE WERE NO STARS)I GET 250 TEXTS PER MONTH AND I ADDS FACEBOOK AND IT WONT WORK IT STILL TAKES OFF $.15 PER WAY , IT MAKES ME SICK

Vincent 7/28/2010
it's garbageimpossible to get through to customer service. suppose they want you to keep calling so they can bill. very corrupt telecom system in Canada

Jagodinac 7/27/2010
When you buy BELL cell phone in Futureshop on package you read "Easy activation on line" For real activation is so complicated that I gave up after purchase of my first and for sure last BELL phone. They are asking for credit cards and all personal informations. Explanation is that they need it in case that cell phone get stolen and that they can protect their customers!? Hey I need cell phone for Prepaid usage. I dont need contract therefore I dont know why they need my credit card number and adress and this and that...0 Stars

camilo 7/19/2010
theres no more 30 dollar activation fee, if you activate it online its free.

Mike 6/14/2010
I don't TALK on my LG 600. I pay less than $20/month and I have unlimited internet. I can TXT my pals, update Facebook, send pictures to Flickr, do MSN, Yahoo, surf... It keeps me in loop... BUT - to keep costs down, NO phone calls. Just Txt and Internet. It rocks!

Velda Petrie 6/2/2010
We have had a prepaid cell phone for several years because we had a summer cottage,we sold our cottage 2 years ago but kept one of the 2 prepaid phones we had. I recently travelled to the U.s, only to find out that you cannot use a prepaid phone in the U.S.So I ask you this if you are the largest provider why can you use a Rogers prepaid cell and not your phones . I have 200.00 accumulated on this phone and cannot use it when I travel, the phone wouldn't even work in parts of New Brunswick. There isn't even a international package that you can get with Bell, but yet with Rogers you can. Also the gentleman that works at your office in Sydney,N.S,at the Mayflower Mall location is very rude and arrogant and is no help whatsoever ,even if I was to go on a contract it probably would not be with your company

dot 6/1/2010
I would give a minus one rating if that were possible. As I read the reviews above people write about talking to a Bell representative - I have been trying for days and have spent numerous hours trying to talk to a person and so far have had NO luck. I am now trying to get out of the prepaid contract as I don't use my phone a lot but haven't had any success communicating with Bell. I was chatting with someone on-line, when I finished explaining my problem/request I was told she couldn't deal with it and would put me in touch with a rep who could assist me. That's the last I have heard!!!

Wendy 5/31/2010
Can I do -10 stars?? I subscribed to $1/day unlimited evening and weekends after buying my cell. One month and $120 phone card top ups later I am once again -$4 again. How I can possible go into a minus value on a phone with no service is beyond me.I would use the cutomer service to inquire but the #611 doesn't work if there is no balance. Two hours on the phone with Bell Mobilty from a land line and 2 e-mails later, they still can't resolve the issue or tell me why. They sure seem to like transfering me after a half hour and disconnecting me!! Save the headache and stay away from the robbers at Bell Mobility pay as you go!!

Budd 5/29/2010
I have been very happy with Bell Prepaid. No problems whatsoever. I bought a HSDPA smartphone on ebay and bought a sim card from Bell. The phone and service was great. When it came time to auto-renew my 250 text message package, it would not do it. I have spoken to Bell numerous times and after 2 weeks it seems that the problem has been resolved. I bought a simular phone for my wife and the same problem, but in her case, they cannot find the problem. I talked to several Bell reps on the phone and was told that there was no problem, that the texting package was working fine. It was not and found most to be very helpful ( THANK YOU), and looked further and did find that there was a problem. There were a few that were rude. To those I say SHAME ON YOU! I spend quite abit money on my and wife's prepaid plan every month. If it wasn't for us and people like us you would not be working. Treat us like you would want to be treated, and to the rest THANK YOU FOR HELPING

fouad 5/28/2010

larsencd 5/27/2010
This is perhaps the best example of legalized theft I have ever seen. I bought my son an LG Xenon...put it on a bell prepaid plan that included unlimited texting...browsing...and a moderate five cents a minute talk fee (which for a 12 year old will not be used...they don't know how to talk..just text ;-) )....I have had the phone for five months...and each month i have to fight with bell to return lost funds..which they admit was mistakenly taken from the account. Last week I dropped fifty dollars onto the phone...incidentally the "plan" is approximately 28 bucks a month...well half hour after I paid the fifty...I checked his balance...he had 8 cents left....now I have to go through the monthly fight to retain the funds which bell "mistakenly" withdrew....Un-freakin-believable!!!....the amount of time I have wasted talking to "robots" and occasionally a live rep is despicable (yes I'm quoting Daffy Duck)...so Do Not Go With Bell!!!!!....they are crooks...God Forbid you sign up for a contract!!...Just imagine the funds they could skim from your account!!!

simone 5/22/2010
Their should be a no star rating!
Years ago my first cell was with bell. The phone went into repair .During that time I never had a phone.I called to access my voice mail and to my suprize a man answered.I said how can you be answering my phone,he said sorry his friend was repairing my phone ..he'll hang up so I can pick up my messages. He hung up before I questioned why are you on my phone first place.Well I received a 400 plus phone bill.I had explained and asked to see my calls ...they said impossible because I did not pay for detail calls.(this was in the early 90's) I ended up being ripped off paying that and also a early cancellation fee of 300.
After that I said NEVEr AGAIN WITH BELL!
Well a year after I started working for a large cell company.Remeber when rogers use to be call cantel? STill do by the way .Yes ..they could pull up my detail calls ...that very easy...but they are con artists!!!!What they call pay as you go is not !!!!
This is really a post paid service! My sister gave her son a so call pay as you go from bell at Christmas.Against her better judgment because he wanted a phone.well to make long story short on a friday she placed in 50.00 by Monday it said he was over by 17.00.First her son had not use nay airtime at all between that time.
but when she called not only did she get rude customer service they advised she was paying for the month before the monthly billing charged "THOUGH THAT MONTH HER SON NEVER USED THE PHONE AT ALL" they said it was pro rated billing!!!
HOw the hell can you get pro rated billing on a pay as you go!!!!!!!
She spoke to a manger after who said that their system is different and infact their system is more of a post paid and not a prepaid! He then said they are not giving credit because they are punishing the stores for wrong info!
Hmmm...wrong info from the stores???their own corporate ads say prepaid!
WHAT rUBBISH AND CON Work IS GOING ON AT BELL MOBILITY!

Don 5/21/2010
We too got the phone when the pre-paid was simple $10/month - no strings. Then it was $100/year - great even simpler. Then Bell took over Aliant and boy did they ever take us. We had quite a bit of money accumulated and were leaving the country so we went on auto top up - but alas it doesn't do what you think it only tops up when you go below a 2dollar limit not every month - we lost it all.

Steaming over Bell Bill 5/19/2010
I give Bell negative infinity stars! They were supposed to take out $100 for my phone/email service for my blackberry and $40 for my bell stick service for my computer each month. I have auto payment which I have to cancel. They took $230 last month and $467 this month. When I phoned they said I used more minutes than usual. I asked for a more honest answer and I was told I used the internet and email a lot. I said but I have unlimited internet and email. She said "Not any more. We've changed our plans around. No one has unlimited internet or email. And your minutes went down to 350, and you used way more than that." I asked if she ever planned to tell me that the plans changed and she said no because it all evens out really, because you don't have to pay the system access fee now. Arghhh She wouldn't retroactively take off the ridiculously thieving charges. BELL IS A THIEVING COMPANY. I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT MY BEING ROBBED BY THEM. ESPECIALLY IF YOU DEAL WITH BELL DO NOT DO AUTOPAYMENTS WITH THEM. I authorized them to take out $140 per month, and in 2 months they took $697 out of my account with out my permission. Also when my phone stopped working, I had insurance on it. Apparenly the small print says if they say the damage is my fault which they did I had to pay $150 for a "like new" phone, which verbally when I bought the insurance was quoted as being a "new" phone. They took about a week to give me a "refurbished" phone which was not anything like new and I made 4 trips to the Bell store trying to get them to get it right. The insurance company tried to instruct me on how programme it to get it right and I refused. I said this is not like new and I don't have a home phone to talk to you while I programme this crappy phone you keep calling a new phone. They said it was new because they rebuilt it it so it is new again. I said it you had built it with new parts it would be a new phone and be expexted to work longer. This phone is obviously built used parts from a variety of crappy phones, therefore it is a used phone. It is your job to get me a like new phone. It is not my job to try to understand your instructions on how to programme this supercrap refurbished phone. If I had known the insurance was onlt good for a poorly refurbished phone and I'd still have to pay $150 for it, I would not have bothered. The Bell workers all try to sell Blckberries but they all use Apple phones. They obviously get a bigger commission from selling the Blackberries.Their insincerity is not appreciated.

Flip 5/16/2010
I bought a prepaid cell phone for my daughter two months ago and loaded it up with $45. I think Bell also added a $35 credit as well, which at first seemed great. We went with a $20 per month, unlimited text plan and thought all was good. One week later, all the credits were gone!I couldn't get any help from customer service, so I figured I would load up the phone again with $25 and then found that the account was -$5.46. A negative account! How the hell can you get a negative account with prepaid? It's pre-paid. It means you have to pre pay before you can use it.My daughter hasn't used the mobile browser, although the phone has a self-serve function which attempts to connect to Bell self serve online, but doesn't connect. I'm assuming it's this feature that's eating up the credits. What a total scam and it completely goes against the whole principle of prepaid. No customer should have a negative balance on something that you must prepay to use!

Rodney 5/14/2010
Today they would not change my info but they sent a letter to the rep who i spoken to to call me I hope they do.

1 star but actually 0 stars, I bought phone for my husband for xmas, I told clerk to add me as user also so I could add minutes to account and discuss problems, Husband had over 100.00 on acct, when I added 15.00 more I now have 15.00 only, I was in hospital and didn't get funds added on proper day but company would not help, Also when you activate on 8th you lose day each month becuase they say only good for 30 days, what about February? We are losing a day each month, what a rip off

Sandra 5/11/2010
I agree with the Bell employee, Gerard Alexander, we should all call Bell for a refund, after all it is OUR MONEY THEY ARE TAKING!

Rodney 5/7/2010
I am sick of them charging so much for activation now its gone up to 70.00 I was told on phone it was 50.00 I am waiting for my rep to call me who I spoken to a while ago.

Rodney 5/7/2010
this rep I spoken to his name was Noy I think he was great with me I told him to do a esn check on this Blackberry he did it was fine to go he gave me a pay go number I told him not to activate it till I get my unit. Now my? is can credit department or AR shut me off cause of old out standing contracted bills not payed for? I hope not and if this is a yes they can then I am screwed for my pay go. Now also do they have 911 acesse fee and customer serv fee if U speek to live agent? if so why people will not want to be with bell if this goes on and on

Rodney 5/7/2010
Bell reps hanging up on customers I some days call in and they disconnect call with out saying hello bell Mobility such and such speaking and i am sick of the dead calls they pick phone up but no words nothing but back ground noise.

jordanstrasser 4/27/2010
I DONT HAVE A BELL ACCOUNT PREPAID OR OTHERWISE BUT AFTER READING THESE COMPLAINTS I DECIDED NOT TO SIGN UP AFTER ALL AND JUST STICK WITH TELUS EVEN THOUGH I HAD A GREAT DEAL ON A BELL PHONE.

Gerard Alexander 4/26/2010
The expiry on pre-paid phone card is robbery. There should be no expiry on these cards unless the minutes are used. This is stealing.

Bell employee 4/9/2010
I work for Bell customer service (that place you call into when you don't know where all your money went). Don't use the internet on your phone unless you have unlimited, it is VERY expensive, 5 cents a kilobyte---on average thats about $3 for one webpage. If you download a game, send a picture, or go to bell.ca on your phone, you WILL get charged for using your internet(On most accounts Isee a $5 charge for sending ONE picture message). All phones come with internet--you can ask to have it removed but make sure everytime you change your plan that you ask it to be removed or else it will automatically get added back on by the system. If you have a plan or a feature, it WILL bill every month on your billing date regardless of the amount of money on your account (this can send your balance into a negative). Even if you don't use your phone at all for the month and you're in a negative from your features billing, you will not get your money back--Bell provided the service whether you topped up andused it or not, it is a legitimate charge. That means that yes you can go into a negative from the month before and the moment you add more money the next month, you will get charged for the feature again. It is a self maintained service so it is up to you to know what features are or are not on you account and how many texts you have left etc (go to option 4 at #321 to check this). If you don't add money to your account for 120 days your account WILL cancel out, you will lose your phone number and you will have to pay a $50 fee to reactivate---there is nothing, and I mean NOTHING you can say or do to have the reactivation fee waived. There is now a $100 top up good for a year. Your funds will always expire at midnight exactly on the date that #321 says it will, so always top up the day before. If your funds do expire and it is the first time you have called in about it, threaten to cancel your service if they do not refund you. We are required to say "sorry, it is self maintained service etc cannot put your funds back." Thats when you have to threaten to cancel---we'll put you on hold, come back and say we are able to offer 50% back of lost funds---thats when you say that its not good enough---so we'll put you on hold again, and then come back saying we can offer 100% back this one time. We do not try to seem rude as customer service reps, but there is very little we can do--most of the time our job is to say "sorry about all the money you lost, too bad." We can get fired for crediting accounts for certain reasons, no matter how unfair to the customer it seems. I would not choose this company, there are many system problems and policies that do not allow us to properly help customers. If you do call in with an issue, dial 18885379999--enter your phone number then choose option 5 then 2 then 0 to get through to an actual person---and ask us to waive the $2 fee to call us---its the least we can do for all the crap you have to deal with. And always, ALWAYS read your terms of service---its how Bell covers its ass.

i got my phone to days ago and already i have negative minutes i hate bell

brittany 3/26/2010
i think bell is useless, it rips me off like crazy, i added a 50 dollar phone card, added unlimted text, right after that i had negative 13 dollars.
plus anytime i go to the store they tell me i hafe to pay 25 dollar help fee, which that is bull crap, if i phone the company they said they will charge 20 dollar charge to my phone thats also bull crap, it should be there resonabilty if the phone doesnt work, when i get it.
i honestly would not recommend bell to anyone, its a waste of money, and time.

Kayla 3/26/2010
I can relate fully to what everyone is saying about Bell rippping them off.I purchased an LG 600 (Reveal) on prepaid less than a month ago. I am after going through 65 dollars in cards already.First, I tried to usse the GPS which stated I needed to subscribe to a plan which I was supposed to get the first month free. Nope, 10 dollars gone. There was another incident where I tried to use my phone and I could not. I checked the balance and it said -36 cents. The day before I had $8.69 on it and never used the phone between that time and this one. I went into the #321 a day later to show my husband what I was talking about, and my balance was gone even further in the hole. How can this happen when they have the phone blocked.I called up Bell and they said that I used a lot of internet. When? The phone was in my purse (and off - it is an emergency type phone). Also, DO NOT BUY GAMES FROM THEM!! Even though this is a phone mainly for emergencies, there was a game I had on my old phone that I liked - Guitar Hero. I figured I would get this one on this and then when I had the urge I could play. I paid $9.00 for this game. When I tried to play it, there was not a bit of music. Sound was all on. I went into the Bell store to see if there was anything that I could do, they checked the settings, so the girl gave me the number to tech support. Even though Bell sold me the product, they have no support for it.Basically now, my phone is a paperweight. Less than a month with it and wants to flick it at someones head.

Jenna 3/19/2010
bell is prob the worst company to go with, they rip me off everytime just called them to complain bout my phone because a week ago i had 26 dolars on it and now i only have 10 and i havnt done anything and they wont give me my money back and this has happened b4. I was with telus a while ago and i got 25 dollars taken off my phone for no reason but i called and got my money back no problem.. stop being so cheap bell i know lots of ppl who have switched:D... and soon my hole family is gunna switch

ladybug 3/14/2010
you suck, ive been w/u 4 almost 15 yrs. my purse gets stolen w/cell phone, and all ur customer service rep has to say is ITS NOT MY FAULT YOUR PHONE WAS STOLEN, not to mention the store smelled like dirty feet, only one person in store. When my contract is up im changing to well you know who. ps the store is in Richmond Hill @ Richmond Heights Plaza, check it out for yourself.

Sonya Whitfield 3/14/2010
I am in the USA right now and cannot use my Bell Mobility phone. It will not receive calls and I cannot make any calls. I cannot find on the website how to get it to work in USA. Please help. Could Bell Mobility please email me on how to get my cell phone to work from here. I live in Ontario and am in Florida now.

Roxanne 3/4/2010
I just canceled my contract, after numerous problems they could care less about. Worst company ever! Stay away as all they want is your money.

Bell 3/2/2010
I hate bell. I wish they would crash and burn.

Bell Sucks 2/26/2010
i had a prepaid for emergency's and kept adding min every month it was upto $600 i was 10 min late adding new min and lost them all. called and was told too bad bell is going down hill with customer service. Not to mention their IVR SUCKS!!!

perry 2/23/2010
My daughter got accused of using the web browser on her phone when I know she didn't. So I was charged 80 bucks and no disputing it according to aliant. I didn't even know there was web browser on the phone. Then they tried to sell me web browser for 10 bucks. What a rip off.

madox 2/20/2010
i found really cheap wow prepaids look in polish website

Budd 2/13/2010
Again. Ask Bell to block internet access and this should solve your balance problem. I also just found out that they have a $100 card that is good for 365 days

Treye 2/12/2010
Bell does not deserve even one star. I had 20 dollars left, with unlimited messaging at $15 a month already set up and no calls. But my balance kept slipping and now i am at 0 dollars! Major inconvience by a horrible company

Anthony Fr 2/10/2010
Registered for my prepaid service 2 weeks ago, was supposed to be $10.75 a month for the 10cents plan. There was an error in my registration and I've called numerous times, they told me to fix the issue using bell ecare however their site isnt working. Went to the bell store and they told me to call customer service. It's been 2 weeks and they are refusing to fix it. Wasted money buying the phone and paying for the plan......that I cannot even use. Bell prepaid is the biggest ripoff. Going back to Telus.

P. Verriere 1/26/2010
Bell has good reception - that is all positive I have to say re: Bell. Be warned dealing with Bell is not what it seems. You should realize that if you cancel with less than one year left on a contract that you will be charged $600 per phone. Bell takes no responsibility whatever for their accounting errors - if they make error they take no responsibility for it. Beware - your credit rating can and will be affected. Bell one Bill, Bell Mobility and Bell Home phone do not have access to each others accounts. They use cheap "out of country" labour (India) - people who will not/cannot and, in my opinion are not to assist - just keep on hold and keep transferring - those with complaints will tire and "go away". On the other hand Rogers allows you to speak to real people, working Canadians, who speak English - you get up-front answers. Star Choice - fantistic service - Canadian. Before you "buy bell" ask around about after service. Ask if they employ Canadians.pauline v

Highlander 1/22/2010
We've had 1 rogers prepaid and 1 bell prepaid phone for many years now. I wouldn't say service was better or worse on either one. No real problems with either. We're about to replace both ancient phones with new ones, and we've been content enough to stick to the same carriers, one of each (better chance of good coverage when travelling cross country:-).

Both now offer $100 for 365 days (that really simplifies things), and that is the route we'll be going. I think rogers is eeking out ahead with their 3 different by-the-minute plans (I'll be doing the 1 cent weekend/weeknight plan, 39 cents the rest of the time), and $1 a day internet browsing day-pass. Bell will hopefully follow suit to compete. I like the Bell phone selection better.

Budd 1/18/2010
I bought the phone from bestbuy , activated it, changed to 10 cent a minute plan, and had no problems. I had them block internet access, where I think that most of the charges come from. They have better plans than other carriers

steve 1/14/2010
same as everyone else, negative 5 from me. just like Arnold up there said, the $50 activation credit has still not kicked in after 7 days!?!?!?!?! this makes for very disappointed children!!!
I'll never buy another bell product again.

Paul 1/6/2010
I just bought the Reveal from Bestbuy.ca because it was cheap ($20). I wish I would have found this board first and learned of the problems that others are having. I guess I write the $20 off now and save me a headache in the long run.
I currently have a Telus prepaid phone and there is no $6/month caller id charge and the service has been top-self as I have moved out west and back with no costly cell phone fees.
I don't know what BELL is thinking, but they have a POOR service reputation. I have been part of, and present for, 3 occasions where BELL service/rep staff have been dishonest. It appears that the organization is overwhelmed by modern business practices. What kind of management structure must they have to think poor service, dishonesty and gouging are standard operating procedure. Maybe not standard but definitely OP.
I realize that BELL has been a pioneer globally in telecommunications and generally a Canadian organization that all Canadians should be proud of. However, this personal communications side of the business is eroding that reputation at a torrent pace.
I have heard from former employees that BELL feels they are being treated unfairly by the CRTC and competition from internet based communication companies, and this may be true. But, instead of embracing the current competitive environment and working towards a stronger organization unit they have emerged as incompetent dinosaurs.
To BELL: Learn from companies like Apple and Telus and make Customer Service priority 1. Take note of companies like Dell and yourself and your India experiment. Don't sub, you can't effectively control quality. People in Canada do have high disposable incomes but this does not mean that will tolerate being nickel and dimmed for a service offered elsewhere. And who knows maybe once you clean up your act people will be willing to pay a premium for a premium service.

Remember you can always forward complaints to http://www.ccts-cprst.ca/en/ for investigation and possible arbitration.

marlene 12/28/2009
I just got a new prepaid phone and the easiest way to get it activated was to call the number on the box (Human rep.)15.00 credit immediately, then 35.00 2 business days later...most plans incl call display. I don't use it very often so the pay by the minute works well for me. incl voice mail too.

Arnold 12/26/2009
I bought 3 prepaids for my kids for christmas and they are still unable to use them because it says that they are in the minus. It said on the package that a $50 start up credit was included and that was why we bought the pre-paids (Cause the salesman said that we would not need to purchase any minutes until the $50 credit was used up)well, apparently the credit was used up sometime during the activation process....very disappointed... We tried to get Customer Service, but lo and behold, they are not open during the weekend and self serve is a big joke with only options to add funds and whatever else the other one was... it wasn't an option to speak to a real person. After reading the comments here, I am really regretting this "Christmas Present" purchase...

Albin 12/18/2009
I'm not unhappy with the $25/2mo scheme, which I'm apparently "grandparented" for - I don't see it advertised any more. But I'd echo Ralph above that the inability to schedule automatic top-up to preserve accumulated time is wrong. If I remember to manually top up via Express on the last day of the 60 day window the time will accumulate, but I lost over $200 missing it once and having everything expire. I'm looking at PetroCanada which seems to have a $50/6mo scheme that would work for me, though I'm leery of the Rogers network as compared with Bell's very good one.

beachlover 12/15/2009
would be negative five, but no option for that. when I was getting dinged for some daily "premium text message" that I never signed up for, they refused to investigate, nor credit, nor stop.....legally can't believe this is allowed....

beachlover 12/15/2009
Thank goodness WIND will be another player.....this week....here I come....

dude 12/12/2009
Like the rest of the people i would give bell a -5 star. the service was very bad so i payed out my contract and sill tryed to send me monthlty bills after i payed them out never recoment bell to any body big croocks

dieebb 12/3/2009
Bell sucks! Their sole function for "pay as you go" is to steal your money if you don't "top up" in time. If I actually did the things to Bell that I want to I'd go to jail!

Justin Blackman 11/29/2009
Same thing, -5 stars. After my 3 year contact was finally over I called in to cancle my plan, but the rep said that If they switch my account to prepaid for a $25 fee, I would get a startup airtime of $50. He gave me his rep ID. *** Never got the credit, got another bill from bell for $40 even after it was all paid off. **** Then as a prepaid custoemr, voice mail never worked and after 30 call to all the rude French Quebec people, who do meen things like turn call forwarding on on your phonr without telling you, I just gave up. I hate bell.

paul 11/28/2009
have had a plan with bell and told them I was moving out of province, rep told me my contract was over at the end of the month anyway. A year later they caught up with me and was asking for a years worth of costs for something I did not use. I suggested they listen to the recording they do of all the calls they have. Said they dont keep them and just use random ones for quality control. I told them see you in court and never heard from them again.
Daughter has a pay as you go with bell and everytime she goes to put some money on it she is always in the neg. today she was -7.50 put a 15.00 card on it, sent one text and received one, she was -1.00 after just that little of use in ten minutes of getting the card on it. They are the worst provider that I have ever used. I think she should try a koodoo or something. I have a virgin now and they are expensive for min to min but they dont go in the hole or anything. stay clear of bell and aliant

Clyde Thomas 11/25/2009
I live in a rural community in Newfoundland that does not have cell phone service. I have two prepaid phones with Bell Aliant. I usually top up one phone on the 28th of the each month. This past month when I went to top up on the 28th I was informed that my service was suspened as I should now have topped up on the 27th. As a result I lost over a $70 credit. I am also a cabin owner in the coverage area of Springdale, NL but when we are at the cabin and need to make a call we have to call long distance! As a result of my account being suspened on one cell phone I will no longer use this phone and once the minutes on the second phone are used up I will NOT renew with Bell Aliant. As for my home phone, when East Link comes through with their phone system/package I will be getting rid of my Aliant home phone. The customer service stinks and the cell phone service is extremely poor. I am fed up with Bell Aliant!

wow 11/20/2009
i'm with several other people here - i am a legit rogers customer that is unhappy with their mobile service and was debating a pre-paid bell account after contract expiration - not now.....will stick with a good ole land line via vonage on the home internet connection thank you very much.

katy 11/20/2009
i think that you should have a phone that has unlimited text messaging and have 4 hours of talk time for only 10-15 dollars a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

beachlover 10/25/2009
Service good. Terms bad. Problem is my balance is $1000, so I'm stuck. When the day comes that they change my terms(like when they eliminated the $10 cards), I will take it to small claims court for my balance

jack helmer 10/15/2009
bell bought solo I want my time back I am not rich. They stole 20.00 from me for just downloading a 3.50 song rip off I want my money back or my time

G. Beauchamp 10/10/2009
I was traveling across Canada from Nova Scotia to Alberta in September. While in Quebec, Ontario and the Prairies, I was unable to use my cell phone, although I had already prepaid for the service. Why? While in Quebec I was constantly relayed to Telebec.

RE: Joybell 10/5/2009
Take the time to understand how the phone works before bashing it.
1) if someone pranks you and you dont pick up your not charged.
2)the account can only go into a negative if your mobile browser session runs too long, you have features like text messaging added on etc.
3)If your phones stolen they shouldnt be giving you anything back. The phones your responsibility its not bells fault you lost your phone. stop blaming the comapny and blame yourself.

Joybell 10/4/2009
Bell Mobility service reps LIE to make a sale. I got a prepaid cell for my daughter for college. I specifically asked that if the prepaid amount runs out then the phone should go dead. Instead, because of a crank caller causing lots of missed calls, the account is negative. We had no help from Bell and the only option was to report the phone as stolen so that we could close the account. I could not find any other way to close the account. Now she will get a good ole "land line" for her rez room.

Jacqueline Foreman 9/28/2009
Purchased a bell pay-as-you go in August in AB. At the beginning of Sept there was in excess of $17.00 credit on my phone with expiration for 9th October. Since the second week I have been unable to receive or send calls, because a recording at the Call Centre say my balance overdue is over $34.00.How can this be? I did not purchase a post-paid phone.I cannot get through to bell

jerry 9/27/2009
i was goin to purcase a bell pre-paid phone but after readin what they have done to you guys theres no way.i've been with telus for a few years no and they have been very good to be.they have messaging 2500 meaning 2500 out going and unlimited incoming for 10 bucks a month.

Linda 9/9/2009
Something fishy is up with Bell after many years with no problems on their prepaid service.Money has been vaporizing out of my prepaid account. On Sep 4 I had $11.71 on my phone. No calls, no text after I checked my balance and I turned my phone off. The next morning at 8am I have a balance of $-9.04. Completely impossible! It was a Saturday , so I emailed customer service (no customer service for lowly prepaid on the weekend). On Sep 6 low and behold there is $15 on the phone and customer service emails me to tell me so.....but wait....a few days later I check my credit card and find out they have charged me not only the $15 but tacked on the extra $9.04 which I don't even owe them! Some programmer is having great fun sucking money out of our accounts! This is fraud, pure and simple.Emailed a request to see my records for the last year and they flat out said we don't have any. As if they don't keep track on prepaid. Was advised to call and talk to a live person. Based on what I've read I don't have much hope for a refund.Stay away from Bell!!

Linda 9/9/2009
Forgot to set the rating. It should be -5 stars...just like my negative balance!! (See my Something fishy story)

TImmy M 9/6/2009
Since when does it cost to recive an incoming call on your window time... FFS I JUST LOST 50$

Thieves Never Never Bell again

Terri 7/12/2009
I "was" interested in bell mobility before I read all of your comments. Thank you. I feel well informed and will not be contacting Bell. I have to wonder "do Bell have staff assigned to reading this commentary"? Because if they had don't you think they would "try" to change their rotten practices and improve customer service to their loyal customers. I am horrified at some of the comments that I've just read.

dawn-marie whitmore 7/2/2009
i hate you guys you have a really bad service i have a cell phone from yous and i put 55 dollars on and you guys took it now i have none i am going to tell everyone what you did.

chris 6/30/2009
I would definitely give it less than one star if I could. I've got the automatic topup plan which comes out of my credit card. I'm not even using my phone much and there's $90 off my cc bill I got today. I tried to get into my account which I had set up with Aliant but can't do it because of course now there IS no Aliant, only Bell Aliant. Passwords and usernames don't work now. I tried to set it up again but couldn't even with the "help" of an online chatter who is obviously second-language-english. He/she didn't have a clue what I wanted to do so was basically no help at all. They sent me directions on how to link my cellphone bill to my parents' Bell TV bill! Big help, huh?

ggg 6/28/2009
bell the best hand down and have good phones

Unhappy customer 6/12/2009
I wouldnt give a single star if I could.I think -10 stars is more appropriate.BELL SUCKS.I am a 2 + year phone holder with bell made a simple mistake did not add funds to my phone on the due date til the next morning.Even bought the card the day before thinking it would not be an issue and lost all my accumulated time $$$$$$$$$ all thrown into some JACKASSES poket to order lobster. This is how they treat there customers then they dont deserve us.I am now calling rogers and setting up an account with them.BELL CAN KISS MY ASS!!!Lets see if they will delete this.Freedom of speech and this is my veiw of bell not speeking for everyone.

karen 6/10/2009

would not even give them a one star, lousy customer service, I spent hours each month trying to straighten out my bill, finally gave up and went with Telus and have not had a problem since.

Wayne Best 6/8/2009
I was a contract customer for 2.5 years and a prepaid customer with Bell. They started out great and went downhill fast. I have many complaints from billing errors, phone shut offs with bill always paid, ridiculous fees. Too many to list, avoid them like the plague. Arrrg I still get mad thinking of them!

John B 5/7/2009
DO NOT GET BELL PREPAID, THEY DON'T HAVE ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER. I'VE BEEN ON THE PHONE WITH 4 REPS AND NOT ONE COULD HELP WITH ANYTHING, I WAS SIMPLY TRYIN TO LINK MY ACCOUNT TO MY ONLINE BELL.CA PROFILE, NO ONE COULD HELP. TRIED TO DO IT ONLINE SENT 4 TXT WITH THE SAME CODE TO ACTIVATE IT WHICH DIDNT WORK. WEBSITE SAID TO CALL CUST SERVICE (WHICH IS BASICALLY PRESS 1 TO ADD MONEY PRESS TO ADD FEATURES AND THATS IT), AND CUST SERVICE SAID TO GO ON WEBSITE. REDUNDANT OR WHAT. I ASKED FOR A SUPERVISOR AND THEY SAY THAT THE SUPERVISOR CAN'T TALK TO ME. BEST BET GOR WITH VIRGIN MOBILE, YOU'LL ALLWAYS GET SOMEONE THAT SPEAKS PLAIN ENGLISH, OR EVEN TELUS OR ROGERS ARE FINE.

Why can't I select 0 stars? If you're an existing customer and need to replace your phone (because its broken -- my case) you pay full retail price + $15 transfer fee. If you're a new customer, you get the phone for ~40% of the retail price. They just don't care about keeping a customer. If you want to keep your number and need a new phone you have 2 options: 1) pay the ridiculous retail price for a crappy prepaid phone running on an outdated shitty network or 2) leave the company. Otherwise say bye bye to your number. Also I'd rather deal with indian english customer support then french canadian rude customer support. Goodbye bell. Hello rogers hell. How is it that the phone was invented by a Canadian, yet we have the worst phone providers???

mike 4/27/2009
when i needed a phone replacement, i was told to get a phone from ebay or pay the retail price. what kind of company tells you to get a phone from ebay?

Jill S. 4/22/2009
as soon as they get you in the claws of their contract they do absolutely nothing to make their loyal customers happy. i have been a loyal customer with them for YEARS and they have done nothing to make me happy, nothing to help me out, and given me nothing but wrong answers at every turn. worst company to deal with ever. Plus their phones are rediculously expensive with no cheaper options even if you have been with them forever. and a horrible protection plan.
Overall . . . complete crap all around.

Monica Gi. 4/22/2009
have had nothing but trouble with bell from the start. horrible customer service, and nothing but expensive phones even for loyal, longtime customers. if i ever get out of my contract with them (they have renewed it on me twice, without informing me) i will never deal with them again.

Jass 4/22/2009
This is fun with customers because all the time every one explaining their own plan they are not tring to reach at the priviously offered by some one else fome Bell Mobility

I rated one star because i HATE HATE HATE my prepaid plan with bell mobility.I get 250 texts a month incomming and outgoing which means i only get 150 a month to send. So once I got over my texting i usually still have like 9-6 dollars left on my phone. But people still text me! So it comes off my BALANCE. Causing ME to only have minutes for about two weeks every month! Every other service provider DOES NOT charge you / take off texting for INCOMMING text messages! I HATE BELL MOBILITY . On top of THAT i get all these hidden fees that come of my minutes when i activate them so if i buy a 15 dollar card i have 9 minutes! Thats REDICULOUS. It used to be six! Thats like what six to nine dollars taken off every month? They are sleazy. And the worse part about it is I can't even switch to another service provider because my phone isn't compatiable to them! I will fight to the death about this one with telus.
I love my phone.. but i hate my serice provider. I dont care if my phone isnt compatiable with telus's service. It WILL be.

i can activate my phone

I live in the city of Kingston (Ontario) and can get only a 'roaming' signal on my Mobility phone at my home. All along the Lake Ontario/St. Lawrence River border, Bell coverage is spotty to nonexistent. I only keep this dreadful pay-as-you-go as it entitles me to $5 for 1000-minutes long distance on my land line - and seems to pick up a signal when on major highways in case of breakdown. We purchased a second phone from Verizon for the USA which has very good service. We pay $100 a year (top up once a year!) and recently, when in Sooke BC, we could use it (strong signal off Washington state), but not our Bell Mobility. My husband talked to his brother in the eastern USA for nothing as Verizon to Verizon calls are free. If you frequently travel in the USA ditch the Canadian cell once across the border and buy a US one - far cheaper!

Bell is a disgusting company with no respect for their customers at all. Constantly I found false charges on my bills, random added "features" I had to pay for etc etc. There is no excuse for the prices companies in Canada ask for except Bell having a chokehold on our wireless networks. Together Bell and Rogers are responsible for Canadians having to pay 10x as much for our phones. They easily could do like the rest of the world and not charge for incoming, remove long distance / roaming (most countries you can use it anywhere in the country, area codes mean nothing on cellphones) etc etc.
I only pray the government steps in and shuts down their disgusting business practices akin to the old Microsoft.

Beware - "Automatic Top Up" does NOT mean that your account is automatically topped up when it is less than $5. At midnight one night, Bell detected that my account had reached its expiry date and reduced the balance to zero. At midnight the next night, Bell detected my account had less than $5 and automatically topped it up. For those 24 hours we had no phone service. No big problem except for my wife who was stuck in a snowbank with no phone. Surely this could be avoided with a minor system change.

when bell mobility prepaid cut off my service due to text messaging i got very angry and will go back to bell to get my cellphone activated

Jose 12/19/2008
Bell Mobility practices are highly unethical and their level of service is non existent. This carrier should be avoided at alll costs. The sooner we bury this mobile carrier the better off the communication industry will be.
It is indeed unfortunate that i can not rate them at MINUS 5.

I have had prepaid services first with Aliant Mobility and then with Bell Mobility for quite a number of years. As far as coverage and pricing policies, I have compared Bell to other wireless providers and I think they offer the best rates, for my needs anyways. Before December 2007, they did offer a service that gave you 5-day warning to top up your account, which was great. But now that they have removed this service I have to agree with Ralph that it does seem to be a money grab - that they are hoping people will forget to top-up. I also am not happy with them removing the option of paying $100. for one year - I too may switch to Rogers for this very reason.

Ralph 12/9/2008
When I signed up with Bell Mobility a number of years ago, they had a monthly $10.00 card which suited us perfectly. They then discontinued it for a monthly $15.00 card, which was considerably more than we needed. I opted for the 60 day $25.00 card. Having accumulated quite a large sum on our account (which could cover roaming charges when we go to the States) I sought to protect that amount by signing up for the automatic top up.
To my dismay I discovered that they will top it up only when the account balance gets below $5.00 and not on the top-up date as I had expected. I lost all the money that was in the account. Since then I have kept close track, but the other day I went in for some surgery and a day afterward as I was recovering, I forgot to top up and lost over $90.00 on my account. I have a question! IF THEY CAN ADVISE ME OF THE DAY THAT MY TIME EXPIRES, WHY CAN THEY NOT AUTOMATICALLY TOP UP MY ACCOUNT ON THAT DAY? ANSWER: THEY EXPECT PEOPLE TO FORGET! IT'S A MONEY GRAB! IT'S A SCAM OF THE HIGHEST ORDER!
I like Bell's coverage and pricing policies. I HATE THEIR TOP-UP SYSTEM.

Jose Sunshine 11/14/2008
bell is crap.,,would have voted NO stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Robert 11/13/2008
Get your phones set to non roaming, you're picking up other towers and Bell may be charging you more than they should. This is strange as I thought they all shared their systems.

Dave 11/10/2008
ya I know.....I top up like to 25 dollars .......make like 2 local calls like for 3 minutes each, and I check my balance and its like 3 dollars left!!!!!!. Whats up with that????? Im tryin Rogers

Jordan hayden 11/2/2008

My daughter has a prepaid cell phone and was just informed she is negative $21.83. I don't understand how that could happen and cannot reach anyone human to explain it to me. What is the point in prepaid if they let you go over?

amanda 9/26/2008
im not really likingg my service much.

Louise 9/15/2008
I purchased a phone at a Bell Store and also signed a three year contract. I have not received any level of satisfactory customer service since the day I signed my contract in May.The information I was told at the Bell store was incorrect, which led me to have incorrect charges on my account. I have called Bell repeatedly and spent a total of 5 1/2 hours attempting to sort out my bill. I was then told a Customer Service manager would call me back to rectify this situation.I missed the one call from the Customer Service manager and have now left a total of 4 messages and she has never called me back.I phoned Bell again this month (September) because they have still not adjusted my phone bill and the customer service agent I spoke to was exceptionally rude, telling me it was too difficult to go through all of the charges on my bill, " I should just read it." I was with Fido before and would not recommend switching to Bell- it has been tremendouly inconvenient. The customer service agents at Fido are accomodating and actually seem like they would like to find some solution.

Sarah Dion 9/10/2008
I buy minute cards to top up my phone. Then when I go to use it they have taken charges off it for no reason. When I call they do not reimburse for their mistake! Very unhappy with this phone.

Jmac 7/29/2008
Bell (aliant) discontinued the $100/1yr topup last December(07). I'll be going to Rogers for this as they still offer it. It works out to $8.34 per month.

Karen 3/3/2008
Some companies offer $100.00 top us for a year. It would be nice if Bell did this and I would have to remember less often to top up.
